Walkington Tennis Club has been at its present home on the playing fields since 1965. Although the courts appear open to all we do have a subscription for members which goes towards the upkeep of the courts and provision of nets and balls. Earlier this season a lot of money was spent on the power cleaning and painting of all three courts. All these costs were covered by money raised by the club from subscriptions and fund raising. Members can play at any time and social tennis sessions are on Tuesday evenings (summertime) from 6.30 pm and Sunday morning at 10.30 am. We have a mixed team that plays in the Hull and District League Division 2. Each season we also hold a club mixed tournament. |
