Great news - the fundraising team of Claire Acum, Fiona Wells and Anita Day have secured another huge grant - £50,000 - towards the refurbishment of the playground. This brings the total raised to over £85,000 and means the work will go ahead before the end of March. With the Multi-Use Games Area also going ahead, thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Youth Group, to go with the recently refurbished Pavilion, this means that by the Spring Walkington will have facilities to be really proud of. Please be prepared for some disruption to and the closure of the playground when the work is underway. Well done and a big Thank You to all those involved. |
